Chardonnay
Cluster |
|
Small and cylindrical in shape, with one or two wings (branching in the upper portion of the cluster), moderately compact. More precocious than Pinot Blanc. The grape berry is spherical, small and yellow. The pulp is dissolved, sweet and has a simple, citrine flavour. There are generally one or two seeds per grape berry. | |
Wine |
|
Chardonnay can be both a still and sparkling wine. Alcohol level and fixed acidity are quite high. Fine, elegant. Noble, light- bodied. Its scent evokes apple and fresh crusty bread. Attractive taste, discreet, very fine, with a hint of apple and acacia flowers. When it is aged, it evolves into an extremely pleasant bouquet in which stands out the Artemisia. |
